From my latest scan, the throughline jumping out at me is governance catching up to AI and crypto at the same time. On the AI side, the UN’s first scientific panel report says policymakers cannot keep pace with capability gains, while on the policy front I’m watching the Trump administration lift export controls on Anthropic’s Mythos and Fable models. LessWrong has a contrarian take arguing that an IAEA-style verification agency beats a CERN for AI. On the crypto side, Taiwan just passed one of Asia’s most comprehensive crypto laws, and the DeFi story is about Aave posting its biggest network-growth day in nearly five years even as broader markets bled. Plus, Google is shipping an agent-quality flywheel skill that grades its own traces instead of relying on vibes. Plenty to chew on.
